Some frequently asked questions and advice for visitors to The Scottish Highlands
How are you arriving and where do you want to go?
Arriving at Inverness Airport - Inverness City Centre (From £30/$35/€35)
Arriving by plane, provided you fly into Inverness Airport, you will arrive approximately 8 miles outside the City Centre. Although there is a taxi rank at the airport, during the summer months, you may be left waiting for up to 1 hour. It is best to book in advance. There is also a bus stop at the terminal building which will take you into the City Centre. Hotels and accommodation is sparse around the City so chances are you will need onward travel. The easiest way is booking a taxi from door to door.
Arriving at any other Scottish airport, you will be approximately 2-3 hours from Inverness. There are bus and train links, but again, if within your budget, a taxi is by far the most comfortable and convenient option. Our drivers can collect you from any UK airport.
Arriving by train or bus to Inverness
There are taxi ranks outside both the railway and bus stations, but again in the busy summer months, can become overwhelmed. Your best option to reach any destination in Inverness City Centre or the wider Highland area is by booking a cab with us.
Of course, one of the most famous, must see spots is Loch Ness, located just 6 miles outside Inverness City Centre. Loch Ness stretches for an incredible 23 miles (36.3km), is 1.7 miles (2.7km) at its widest point, 755 feet (230m) at it's deepest and contains more water than all bodies of water in England and Wales combined - And is home to The Loch Ness Monster (Nessie).
Why not book a short tour of Loch Ness? A drive down the North side and back up the South side of the Loch takes in many spectacular views, walks and waterfalls to see. It will take approximately 2-3 hours for this (longer tours can be arranged). Prices are from £110 ($137/€130) for a 2 hour tour round the Loch based on a car up to four passengers.

Will you be visiting any distilleries whilst in Scotland?
With many distilleries on offer across the Highlands & Islands and into Moray, there is something to suit most tastes.
Perhaps a peaty and smokey Talisker on the Isle of Skye, a rich and fruity Glenfarclas or MacAllan. Maybe more of a malt drinker and ache for a Dalmore or Glenfiddich single malt.
Take a trip to the biggest whisky region in the UK - Speyside. Taking in some of the biggest names, such as MacAllan and Glenfiddich.
One thing we get asked more than often - Where can we see Highland Cows?
